Rock Climbing in Dartmoor - Bryanston Geography Field-trip
This was the best thing I did when at Bryanston School (Blandford, Dorset). It was a few days in Dartmoor, and we got to go rock-climbing. This was my first ever go at it, and I remember that it tested me to the limit. I had totally unsuitable trainers on (they had soles that flared out at the bottom, which meant that I needed a huge foothold to get any decent grip). I had my Super-8 camera in a sort of improvised holster. This climb completely changed the way I looked at the world. I became aware of how convenient all the surfaces I walked on were (stairs etc.) and I looked at buildings in a new way - seeing them not as a succession of flat floors, but as far more 3D, intricate, and climbable. Clearly visible in this film are James A'Court and Cara Frost, class-mates of mine, a mystery lad from the year below ours, and our teacher Mr Bourne who is seen abseiling in a spectacularly tweedy outfit, including deer-stalker and plus-fours. www.LloydianAspects.co.uk

I am sure it is Dewerstone.North of Plymouth south Devon, a really nice place to climb on a hot sunny day

Is that an identification of the place? No idea, quite possibly.
